Training and Development
 The SHA is a strong supporter of training and development. It believes that training and development are important aspects of nurturing a hotel staff and is key to excellent service. This strong belief led to SHA setting up Shatec Institutes in 1983. The main objective is to provide qualified graduates for the hotel industry. Shatec Institutes offers both full-time and part-time hospitality programmes. More information on Shatec Institutes may be obtained from their website at www.shatec.sg.

In collaboration with the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Singapore, the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA) offers the SHA Scholarship for industry relevant programmes at UNLV Singapore.
SHA offers EXSA development workshops to short-listed nominees from the hospitality sector. Upon completion of the 7-hour EXSA development workshop, nominees will qualify for the Excellent Service Award.
